Remmber that Sabicas used to tune the 6th string down to D (Re) sometimes. Some classical pieces also use this.

The one Sabicas piece that that comes to mind immediately is 'Zapateado en Re', one of my favorites. That continuous rasgueado ending is one of the most beautful finishes to a solo piece I've ever heard. I don't recall if Sabicas used any other tunings besides the D tuning. I recall he might have recorded a Rondena, but I'll have to check my old LP's.

Another favorite D tuning piece is PdL's 'Mi Inspiracion'. An alegrias with a very nice silencio section. Seems the silencios have been done away with in recent years. I actually love hearing that major-minor-major key modulation in the old compositions.

Believe Sabicas also played a Garrotin in D. He also used harmonics in some pieces,
which I have not heard many flamencos do.

One of the falsetas taught by Chuscales was an Alegrias Silencio, but if you are used
to the traditional Silencio, it is hard to recognize.

The Taranta on Tomotito's Barrio Negra album, has the most bizarre tuning Ive seen, and can be done in two ways, either tuning the bass's up or the trebles down, the trouble with these wacky tunings is, when you tune it back the strings constantly goes out of tune.
