David Russell is one of my favorite classical guitar players. I met him in Puerto Rico many, many years ago. What a great guy and awesome player! In his case, looks can be deceiving. I introduced myself in English and to my surprise he answered back in Spanish. I highly recommend his album Aire Latino.

About his guitar, some people say he has a Matthias Dammann.

his spanish is really fine, guitar playing incredible, his a genius .

i know he was using a different guitar as i played it in1997, i just cant remeber what it was , i played it for like 2 mins .

It's a Dammann.

He's lived in Spain most of his life - grew up on Menorca and lives in Galicia. Somehow he's managed to retain a nice Scotttish accent when he speaks English.
