RE: An earlier shot of numero uno (in reply to prd1)
I finished pore filling over the weekend, and sprayed it this morning with KTM9. I sanded a run back and will recoat manana! With regard to the sound ports, I played an outstanding Robert Ruck guitar with the sound port and liked it, but did not like it enough to add the feature to my first flamenco guitar. A friend of mine has a brand new Robert Ruck flamenco guitar without the extra hole, and it is probably the nicest Blanca that I have ever heard live. You never know...... Any flamenco guitar is cool though...nuf said!

I used Courtnalls plan for a Santos Hernandez flamenco. I put them on Autocad for easy access. Next step is 3-D on Inventor. I re-sprayed the guitar today with KTM 9, I have to block out a few furry parts and finish up with a few more coats tomorrow but the rosewood and spruce look great. The Rosewood is very dark but appropriate for a flamenco negra I think. Thanks for your interest, I have played guitar for 44 of my 50 years and have now built one!

Hi Jlneng,
It looks like a nice guitar and I am curious how it will sound when finished. I am building one with the same plans and I have one question, if you dont mind.
In the picture above it looks like the sides haven been glued on but the fan braces are stil square, did you leave them this way?
RE: An earlier shot of numero uno (in reply to jlneng)
Yes I will be building more guitars. To answer the 2nd person, everything was glued up in the picture. The fan braces were not square. As there was a 1/4" piece of acrylic plastic laying on top, the image gets skewed. The guitar is now complete awaiting buffing. I will be stringing it tonight after golf. Too Much Fun!
