RE: Intermediate Challenge??? (in reply to at_leo_87)
this is great and not quite so easy, i'd say this is a bit over the intermediate level, but that's what the challenge is about, we should push ourselves to play and sound better...although i can't compete, i'll learn this one too!
and let me encourage anyone who feels the material may be too much to give it a try anyway, after two challenges and listening to myself many times i've experienced that my playing improved a whole lot overall thanks to concentrating on detail...

Hi guys, Im afraid I have to pass this challenge. I was lucky and got myself together with a singer and a dancer and we are preparing a tientos/tangos. Tientos is first time for me and so is doing a whole piece so I'll have put my focus on that. Best of luck to everybody in the challenge.

That's awesome, congratulations! I recently started playing for a dance class. Very stressful, but a lot of fun, and a great learning experience.

thanks guys. It's definetily a challenge but very inspiring one. first to compose the show and then performing it. For me thats the bigger challange, to perform it and stay cool. I hope somebody will record it so I could share it with all of you, but lets see.

Aleksi, sounds like you've got great things going on. I've accompanied singing on a pair of dance classes and it was great fun, but I have yet to play on a stage.. for me that will be a challenge in itself. Break a leg!
Now this challenge.. I hope I can shake loose enough practice time for it, cause I'll need a lot! Initially I didn't like the chicuelo part all that much but after listening to it and playing the first parts it has grown on me. Hope I still feel that way after a month. :)

I'm so sad about this but I have to cancel both my int/beginner challenge. I kept putting this off but now I see clearly that I'm not going to have the time to participate in any of this, not right now.
But the good thing about this that I may be accepted to a Jazz conservatory from september. I have to prepare for my entrance-exams, that means learning a huge number of standards, theory, practicing guitar, piano AND some singing as well.... That's a LOT. My little son is just about 3 months old.... And I started playing some gigs with a very talented gipsy jazz guitarist as well that also needs a long repertoire to be complete -altought the plan the 2 repertoire have lot in common. There are other reasons as well but I don't want to bore anybody..
Sorry but this time i have to quit, but would like to encourage the others to do their best! And I may can take part in the composition-challenge as I have some stuff in my pocket yet
