I dont think many people from this forum were there. Simon could not make it. Fergus was there and posted about it but that's it. The night was a great success and we are planning a return trip.
I wasn't there myself but Harold told me the whole audience were on their feet at the end.
Kate, I just got Emilio's CD a couple of days ago and it's stuck in the CD player. He has a beautiful touch I am loving listening to it.
I decided to buy it partly to support you, partly curiosity and partly in case I ever make it to Granada for a visit and for lessons - I thought it rude not to make the purchase but I'm really very glad I did now! I'd love to hear him up close, I just couldn't financially justify flying over from N Ireland for one concert. Flights to SE England aren't much cheaper than Spain at this time of year. But I will have another chance.

Thanks for the support. Its an added bonus that the CD is simply wonderful as well and your curiosity satisfied. Look out tomorrow on deflamenco.com as their is an article by Estela going up there about Emilio.
I've also been meaning to post and let everyone kow that Victor El Charico, who sang at Lewes and who also sings on Emilio's album ( on Caramelos with Marina Heredia and on the Fin de Fiesta) won two prizes at La Union, for Bulería por Solea and for Siguiriyas, with Emilio accompanying. We start work soon on an album with Victor, our next flamenco production.
Your right about flights to the UK, you may as well fly out here and see them perform in their home town
