Hello !

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum - I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been playing classical guitar for about 1.5 years and I wanted a little change of pace and variety.
My first CD in the (80's) was Carlos Montoya - so I have always admired flamenco - I am excited that now I am learning it !
I am starting with a new Yamaha 171SF which I just picked up with the Graf Martinez book.

Welcome to the foro! It's about time.

The Yamaha CG171SF seems to almost be a rite of passage these days.

yes I got the idea for the Yam from you and Chiyodad -

I went to Guitar Center - since I knew they would have one - the Manuel Rod. sounded better C3 F model - but it was not $200.00 better... so I went with the Yamaha. I did like that Manuel Rodiguez though - it does not have the rep that the 171 has, but I guess I saw just the right one.
But I am happy with the CG171sf -

THANKS !
