Stringing pegheads

Do you guys prefer the "neat" or the "curly" way of stringing?
Any advantages/ideas?

Curly. When the string breaks at the bridge saddle I can restring with the same string. The "neat" option is too - pokey, too the winding unwinds off of the center core and they can look fuzzy.

I feel confirmed
Besides, cut ends seem "un-flamenco" somehow...

I actually like cut ends.... But if you take a string of for some reason it can be difficult to put on again.

I usually start with leaving curly strings when I put a new set on, and then a few weeks later I have this unexplainable urge to cut off the curls. Like I said, can't explain it, it's an impulse I can't control. I'm strange that way...

Think of it this way: if you get a stray nose hair sticking out, what do you do? Do you pluck it, or do you twirl it up and let it stick out in mid-air?

Same thing with strings.
