Henry Matisse (spelling) was a genius at shading and it is therefore no wonder that they have made a verb, matizar, out of his name, and furthermore, that Flamencos have adopted it to describe the shading in footwork, palmas guitar etc. Sometimes the matices of 1-2-3-4-5 reflect the 12-3 and sometimes the 6-8-10 of 12-3-6-8-10 and sometimes they reflect the 1-2--4-5--7-8--10-11 so they are really useful for many different contexts, but the 12-3- blah...blah...blah
