Yeah that alzapua is amazing. The idea of having a player like that as my teacher is sort of blowing my mind..

I studied with him a little too...... more I wish, but he and I were working with different groups and it was hard to find time.

Huge thumbnail but still such a controlled alzapua and thumb.. I don't know how he does it. I'm sure it takes some time..

Was going to make the same comment. I dont know how he gets so much control with that long thumbnail. Great playing though!

I saw him play a couple of years ago when he was a guest artist with a local dance company. I didn't like a lot of the music (which I think was composed by dance group's music director) but Chusco played one or two of his own pieces, and the thing I really remember was that he did an astonishing alzapua passage that was almost surreal, it felt like a hallucination.
