before I can pay you any compliments I have to check with my husband first.
'wonder what kind of compliments Ailsa was thinking about..?
Nice review, Florian. I think the editor missed the point, however, not just extraordinarily talented, but the "best".... These journalists simply love to write inflamatory and scandalous articles, don't they?
yeah they sure do..u never know what to expect, u never know how they gonna see things...this time it worked out nice for us (well better then nicely) its too good
about 3 weeks ago i just read one where a guy totaly ripped into a friends show, i am relived and happy...i dont really buy what she says but i can use this for future advertising and its not a bad review so thats a bonus
plus i am gonna milk the "extraordinarily talented" to the dancers until they go blue in the face ...infact i am printing me one of this to carry in my wallet, incase they need reminding

no no no its not what u think...that joke started in the "duende" thread
not a bit over the top?? nah joking mate !!! well done, yeah better they say that instead of ripping you to pieces, they probably googled Flamingo a few times and then realised oh Flamenco ..... then wrote the review.
seriously good work Flamenco in Oz is a great thing, should be more of it
If there's any room at all left in you for more ego, I'd like to mention that, for myself, you're essentially the one reason I can think of to visit Oz =]
no ego jonk, i read enough good reviews of bad stuff to know this means nothing lol but id rather i get a good review that means nothing than a bad one..
I should mention that even tho he didnt get a mention Alo was brilliant, we worked 50 - 50 on everything...one guitar could never do what 2 can..
And Mari Olivares the female singer acctualy carried Miguel who didnt know what was going on most of the time ..but did it with confidence
That is a very supportive review Florian! And it surely must be a good feeling that they liked it.
This article appeared in a newspaper last year. The title is "Countrymusic, Rock and deep feelings" - with deep feelings they meant our performance can you believe that? . But the article is not about us, but about the festival as a whole (2 other groups). The violin player in the right is also a dancer btw.

What exactly were you doing on stage?
i was getting jiggy with it

can you believe that?
ofcourse i can i noticed editors love chitchy, catchy, chezzy, stereotipycal stuff...regardless of what you tell em they are still gonna write from their prespective of what flamenco is...and flamenco is one of this things..everyone whos never paid any attention to it thinks he knows..EVERYONE .. , u walk up to anyone in any country and ask .." do you know what flamenco is ?" not one will say no
i still get people who dont know anything about it but have seen a movie once or something telling me what flamenco is after my gigs...while i have to stand there and smile and politely nod
but you got a great photo in there man, thats excellent
So 2008 was a good year, what's up for this year in the newspaper?
nothing...doing the show again next year bigger and better, this year gonna practice like hell, while i do small gigs to pay for it..i got some regular gigs that will allow me to earn some money ...and finally buy a wireless senheiser mic i benn wanting for about 3 years..upgraded my pc, got a bigger tv, i love this year its been the year of upgrading..i love upgrading electrical stuff, i am obsessed with gadgets
my pc was 1.6ghz ..i just upgraded to dual Core 2X 7750 ghz...i am not sure what it means but i love saying it its alot of numbers...they guy says it will be really fast
so are you all organizing this by yourselves? Must be a lot of work.
yes its a crazy amount of work, i did the last one, i am gonna take some help for the next one..ironically the one time your playing should be really good...playing or practicing is the last thing on your mind

Whats the "artist media pack" anyway
thats like a resume for musiceans, festivals request it most of the times to consider you for their festival...basicaly any media u have that u think might help you get the job..
bio, reviews, photos, audio, dvd, letter it has to be in a phisical form when sending to festivals etc...they wont come and look at your myspace ....they gonna have all the packs togheder and they gonna decide.. so for things like that reviews matter, and i am glad i got a nice one i can use...saves me having to lie just like resumes its all overblown **** anybody can make up or writte anyway...
I know Arash i got the same thing...everytime i read something lately its something bad about romania or some romanians
pisses me off that news paper idiots dont think about consequences of their stories...what honest romanian folk or iranian folk have to leave with ..all because they decided to make them about countries when it should have been about people and their deeds...draged a whole country in ...but they never think of the prejudices they create against people that live in their own country and have never broken the law........well nothing major
INTERNATIONAL gangsters have stolen the bank details of hundreds of Victorians in a fraud set to become the biggest in Australian banking history.
A mafia-style Romanian crime gang obtained the account and PIN details in the past two months.
They flew into Melbourne and fitted secret card-reading devices to hundreds of automatic teller machines in Victoria and across Australia.
A Sunday Herald Sun investigation shows the gang escaped with millions of dollars, later spent on lavish homes and luxury cars.
The fraud looks set to escalate, with police confirming gangs often do not use the illegally obtained details for months - leaving victims unaware they are about to be theft victims.
Eleven Romanians have been arrested.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship is cracking down on Romanians attempting to enter Australia on tourist visas in a bid to thwart the gang
how much money did you make with those stolen bank details ?
shut up you terrorist pr*ck
Ok,,,,i believe you... i know that you don't do such things.......but if one day i see you buying that Esteo from El Kabong for $25000, then i know that i was wrong
