English. It's called Happy Go Lucky, directed by Mike Leigh, and should be available anywhere you rent dvds. It was nominated for/and or won a number of the big awards from last year.

I'm not a big fan of Leigh's recent stuff, but this one was the best thing he's done in a long time.

maybe we should have like a good movies recomandations thread...always love finding a new movie i like..specially comedys that you can watch over and over...some of my favs..

Waiting for Guffman, Honour and Obey, Talladega Nights, Anchor Man, The Office (english) Extras, Best in Show, Spinal Tap, Seinfield, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Zohan, Death at a Funeral, Super Bad, Final Cut, Rock'N ROller and all the guy richie movies ( i think of them as comedys)

if u guys havent seen any of this ( u probably have cause they all pretty popular) but if u havent u might wanna check em out

u get an idea of a persons sense of houmor by knowing what sort of stuff they like

Speaking of filmmakers that used to be a lot more interesting, apparently the new Jim Jarmusch film, Limits of Control, features a flamenco scene that takes place when the protagonist finds himself in Sevilla. Hmn.

Not sure why all these marquee art house guys are putting flamenco scenes in their movies, but something is definitely in the air!

I do, i think its the worlds best keeped secreet to the majority of people,...i am always shoked that not everysingle person adores it and its obsessed by it..

truly...used to really fustrate me when i started that not everyone shared my enthusiasm...now i am used to it and i dont care

a girl came over once to watch some movies, i just wanted to show her some of my fav flamenco scenes from a couple of concerts, just to dispose of this stupid clique ideas most people not involved with flamenco and outside spain have about what it is ( that really annoys me, when someone is thinking salsa or tango but are saying flamenco)...

anyway after about 30 minutes, she said..."can we watch a movie now ?"
I was shoked ! and i wasent even finished shwing her what i wanted to show her

it was a big turn off

So I was thinking about what people do to say "my space". I was talking to someone recently whose flat is almost completely magnolia while mine is very colourful. He said he didn't feel the need for the comforts of home, and I said no it's not about being comfortable, it's about stamping your individuality on something that's important to you.

At the risk of you all thinking I really have been on some strange substance I thought I'd show you what I mean. Here's the wall in my kids' games room.

And here's one of the living room walls - don't worry it's only one small wall, not the whole place painted like this!

RE: my space (in reply to Ailsa

My wife used to sponge walls with paint, it was pretty cool. Paint is wonderful cause when you get tired of it you paint it over. I can see you made the ground plane up into the vertical plane. My wife has gone away from the sponging, too much work. Now it is accessories.

Regarding Happy go Lucky, that was a good movie. The soundtrack was sort of silly iirc. The flamenco scenes (I think there were two?) were great in the movie, when the instructor flips out it is pretty funny and cheeky the way they do that.
