Removing headstock marks

Hi,

I have a guitar which has had wet newspaper stuck to the front of the headstock and i need to remove it along with some glue like substance on the back of the headstock. What can i buy over the counter that will not effect the polish or finish of the guitar while removing this completely?

Hi Karen,

I believe a product called Naptha will work. Possibly even lighter fluid. Try it first on the back in a small area.
