wow... she's beautiful, Nogawyks. I love that deep tone of the cypress you photographed so well, and can almost hear an equally caramel-like tone in her sound.
How exciting, isn't it, the intoxicating scent of a new cypress guitar (I must have said this before, but it is because i mean it and love it).

I've been raving to anybody who would listen about the wonderful smell of cypress. I love sitting there playing and having the scent waft up to me. The guitar smells wonderful. I have been playing on a Lucida Concerto classical guitar for quite awhile and with my new Green, it is so much easier. It is a real flamenco guitar instead of a classical with golpeadores. Loads lighter, quite a bit thinner in body, much more comfortable to play overall.
I don't know why I remembered this, but if you happen to have a humidifier in your house (which I can imagine would be vital to a guitar in Arizona), you can add a dash of cypress oil to it. Then you can have the entire room smell like your guitar.
Aron Green copies the head of the famous Reyes gutiars?? Could you post a frontal picture of the head? The guitar looks good nd with this weight it could really be. Congrats to your new!
I dont remember the reyes headstock completely. And I didnt recognized you builded the guitar. [&:(EDIT: ok now I see the initial post wasnt yours EDITEND )] Well,.. I also like the reyes design, as the headstock of your guitar. Im just interested in the look because I cant see it perfectly from the side. I also like conde headstocks and carpio a lot. The Marvi headstock is strange in my opinion. How much is this guitar?
My headstock design is my own take on the classic Manuel Ramirez headstock. A lot of builders are using it as a point of departure. I am not sure if I have seen a Marvi headstock but there are a lot of weird ones out there. I am actually not that fond of the Conde Media Luna headstock. It just isn't to my taste.
I sent you a private message regarding the price of a new blanca.
Congrats on the new AG! I am a proud owner of one of his Negras and im sure its very apparent to you the level of detail and crafstmanship that comes out of AG's work. I love my guitar and it's one of my most prized possesions, as in, if house is burning, Im going after my AG and leaving everything else(but family of course) behind ;)
I am truly impressed by the construction level and resulting playability of my negra and each time I pick it up, it's a special event. There is a consistent power through the entire range and this negra just ha that broad and deep sustain that is unmatched. Now I just need to figure how to add an AG blanca to my collection ;)
I think I have come to the conclusion that I'm a greater fan of blanca's than negra's in general. Don't get me wrong, my negra sounds incredible, but all things the same in terms of say, an AG blanca vs. AG negra, I'd prefer in most cases the blanca. Perhaps this has more to do with the reportoire or pieces that I play or perhaps the blanca sound is just so in grained in me.
Anyhow, enjoy your finely tuned ax as like any great instrument, it will add inspiration to your play.
I thought you guys and gals might enjoy a couple of photos of my new Blanca. She weighs only 2.75 pounds. Really light and sounds great.
Seems like our guitars may have overlapped in the workshop. I got my Green blanca last week. Hope yours is as good as mine. Aaron has absolutely captured the perfect blanca sound with this one. It’s very responsive and easy to play with superb volume and tone as well. Couldn’t ask for more - apart perhaps from faster delivery! I often think how lucky we are as guitarists to be able to get a top quality instrument at such a reasonable price – compared say to violinists or tuba players.
Congratulations! Looks like a twin sister of mine. Just wait until shes 3 months old - the bigger sound will literally start to come out and by that time and you will be already used to setup - neck, action, etc
congratulations! you should post something to let us hear it! im super jealous!
love the headstock, aaron ilove some info on how much one of these beauties would take to build , and cost !!!! looks loverly , which notable plays uses these and also its versatility in other styles !!
Yes, I know I should post something, I'm just not very confident of my playing. I'm not really very good and it wouldn't do justice to this guitar. I'll try to see what I can do though. By the way, she just keeps getting better the more I play.
