Hello friends! I uploaded two short excerpts of me playing Concierto de Aranjuez with a student orchestra in Houston, Texas. Hope you like them!

WOW very nice !!!!!!!! so cool..you play it beautifuly..i love expecially how u play the sec movement.. have you got the first movement ?

whats with the penguin suit ? couldnt you find some cool silver shirt with really baggy sleves ?jk..

I think it would be impossible to get to do that with an orchestra and not smile to yourself and think ....hm Paco ...which version was it ? it didnt seem exactly like the Paco one, was it ?...i got his transcription if you ever want it

very nice man, thank you for posting this...happy birthday again

Marvelous!

I can hardly believe that winter in massachusetts will provide a concert to look forward to for a flamenco-lover!

I will certainly be there with fingers frozen =]

If anyone else from the foro is attending and wants to talk my ear off with their flamenco knowledge after the show (especially if they know a good bar nearby), I'll be the guy with his hair in braids nerding out!

cheers!

The show was unbelievable. He played an entirely old school paco de lucia classics set, and although he expressed some concern that he might not be able to pull it all off after not having performed these songs for some time, I can quite sincerely state that he easily played them at the same level as they were recorded by the master.

For myself, this is the style I aspire to play. I get down primarily on the paco pena and paco de lucia solo guitar style, and although I listen to all manner of jazzier and contemporary players, it's the classics that really inspire me to play guitar. I look forward to the spring when I hope to take some lessons from Grisha. His passion for this music is so evident, and the way he lit up when I expressed interest in lessons simply go to show how enthusiastic he is about his art. I mean, I'm supposed to be the one overjoyed at the chance of studying with the guy, yet he seems to be just as happy about sharing his time in this way =]

It's clear that he is destined for great things, and I look forward with no small measure of excitement to the next opportunity to see him play this beautiful music!
