As part of my dance course I get admission to all the shows in Teatro Villamarta from 1st to 8th March. Can you recommend any of the other stuff in particular? I mean obviously I'll try to see everything! But in case I just don't have the stamina for the flamenco lifestyle......

Entry every night? Wow - that's going to be some week. Who's your course with? I've taken a look at the programme (thanks for posting it Kate) and am really envious.

I notice that ÓPERA, CAFÉ Y PURO is on one of the nights. If you're tired that night (which you will be) then get yourself out of bed and get along there. It was all dance performance to recorded music, but tracing the history of Flamenco so there was a great mix with some really old stuff right through to present day. It was a really interesting show and a visual feast.

That's a great deal.

I'd also really reccomend Capullo who is amazing.

This young woman is from Granada and recently danced with Antonio Canales. Try and catch her, I think her career is going to take off.

I think that and catching ever show at the Villamarta will be enough to keep you busy. I know I am heading off to Vietnam in March and I may have to do UK trip before then as well to see family but am very tempted to go down for a few days. Very tempted indeed.

Yeah I think it's gonna be a good one! I'm doing the Guajiras course with Merche Esmeralda - she was the main Guarjiras dancer in the Carlos Saura film.
