Rondeña on a funeral

Our pastor have asked me, if I would play on weddings and funerals. No problems on weddings but at funerals I´m really afraid of start crying myself, would be worthy to check out my stability...

I play Moraítos rondeña Alameda Vieja in a shorter and easier version with a different ending. This piece makes me using it as a valve in different emotional moods. To all who know his original toque I may ask you if this piece could be played on funeral.

Thanks for helping.

Salu2
Bernd

There are some good classical pieces that are maybe more suitable...Peronally I don't think it is suitable. Espacialy the loud strumming etc. + You have to know that flamenco isn't apreciated by the "common public".
I would say, no flamenco on funerals. Maybe a very intens and slow seguiria.imo

I love that piece! but I agree with Jan. I don't think it will be appropriate. I think it would be more suitable to find a classical piece. Where are you from bernd?
What kind of weddings/ funerals are they?

Basically I think you could play Tientos, Seguriyas, Tarantos and not to forget Peteneras.

A few weeks ago, Doitsujin posted a good one in the Tab section

Ah wait, how about Colombianas?... Nah forget about Colombianas...

Wieso schreibe ich das eigentlich auf Englisch? Naja jetzt hab ich's schon geschrieben.
