bulerias chords-lighter parts

could anyone tell me or send me in the direction of some of the chords that are used in the lighter parts of bulerias, they sound like alegrias chords, but somehow not, its something ive been meaning to ask since i was at sanlucar, most of the solo guitar buleria's i've heard have a very dark sound.

thanks

henry

If you mean for cante???? then yeah it is similar to Alegrias or Bulerias de Cadiz, probably what you mean is when bulerias de Jerez goes to major key? You were going Bb-A in "por medio", so the change is simply E7-A. That is all. And a lot of times you just stay on E7 the whole time until it resolves or the improvising dancer leaves. But the rhythm really makes it not like Cadiz, not the chord obviously.

Hope that is what you meant. If not, please give a specific example from recording or youtube or something.

Hard to hear this but pretty simple. The first letra is A phrygian. The first chord you hear is D minor, then we go C7-F, Bb-A. The next letra went to Gm-A. Then again like above Dm, C7-F, Bb-A. Normal phrygian bulerias.

When the little kid is dancing, it is just E7 and finally resolved to A major at :53. Then again E7 until it resolves to A at 1:07. Then the letra keeps going, we stay on E7 the whole time until he is done dancing 1:28 and we go back to A major. Guitars and singer are actually following the little leader in this case. (For dance class people, notice how we play through the llamadas and stuff, no special chord sequence or anything.)
