Here you can read an ecstatic review in the Diario de Cadiz. (The concert was promoted by the Ayuntamiento de Cadiz and the Diario de Cadiz).

In fact, the gaditanos took it as an excuse for another fiesta and thronged the surrounding streets, for tapas and canchondeo, making incredible noise.

The Plaza had two big screens, badly angled, and a sound system which was directed towards the centre. Anyone who seriously wanted to see the concert would have had to arrive 2 or 3 hours early to get a reasonable seat.

I am not prepared to sit uncomfortably in a wooden seat for this length of time to hear a little of world class solo guitar and a lot of flamenquito.

The sound, for anyone not well seated was poor, so I went for tapas elsewhere. Tonight, a little real flamenco with la Hermanas Torres and Pepi de Ignacio al cante in the Centro Flamenco de la Plaza de Merced.

Suerte

Sean
