Am I A Flamencoholic?

My Name is __________, and I think I am a Flamencoholic.

Eventhough I have only been playing for a couple of years and still consider my self a bigginner, I have to play my guitar every day and only quit when I fall asleep. I wake up and go to my guitar, leave for work and I am doing Rasgeados on a pretend guitar, at work I keep my fingers moving as if I am changing chords, I come home listening to flamenco cd's. Then it starts all over again. If I do not have a guitar in my hands my kids ask me if i am ok. My wife knows and humms every flamenco palo I have been practicing on. I know every flamenco related web site. I can't wait to go to class, and I hated school when I was young. Am I crazy.

Am I a Flamencoholic, what con I expect next...........

You are a Flamencoholic!

What comes next? With wife, kids and a full-time job - frustration!

The really high waisted pants and shirts with the florally lapels are pretty cool as a combo though.

The Polka Dots and Florally lapels made me laugh out loud. I am glad to see that I am not alone.

maybe we should change the forum's name to "flamencoholics anonymous!"

the first step to recovery is admitting it. then surrendering yourself to the duende.

Leave everything; go to Spain; live in a caravan; learn Spanish; suffer; immerse yourself in the gypsy culture: then, and only then, will you be able to play the flamenco.

Was that a joke? If not,... you need to to rethink your idea.. Its antiquated.
