RH LH coordination

Special for Florian, one of those technical posts that almost no one cares about: As is so often the case in learning, it took me several different people to prod me in this direction over a period of years. I have recently realized how important precise coordination between these two is to good playing. I think Todd mentioned it to me about someone's upload--they had a habit, annoying to him, of placing their LH finger before their right. To Todd, it was an audible bit of sloppiness. I couldn't really hear it. Another internet buddy told me I should make it my task of making each note "hermetically sealed". What does this mean? That each note should have its own beginning and ending and with the minimum of extraneous noise and slop. Recently some things I did on the guitar began to bug me. Little unintentional notes due to LH fretting before the RH playing. I didn't care before, but it started to become annoying to me. For example, in an A maj Sevillas, there is a descending run which goes from high A to the A on the 3rd string with a chord hit on that 2nd A. What would happen is I would place the chord, which would make a little "wowf" sound, and then I would play the note. Then I read on Douglas Niedt's site about how fine players have this precise coordination. I began to mess around and realize that it was not something that I had ever instinctually done. I found that due to not really trusting my hands, I would usually place the LH first, as if to give myself a little time in case I muffed it, and then play with the RH. Listening carefully, I realized this created a somewhat sloppier sound that you would want. Let me stress that it's not something your average person is going to be able to notice. I began to try to play one single note in a coordinated fashion, and it was difficult. I was so used to not trust my LH and always placing it first. Eventually I began to get the knack and get the sound. It really does sound much better. Now I am in the process of changing my playing so that everything is synced up, and there is no slop. I believe it will clean up my sound a lot and make it sound more "alive". I have also noticed that the extra focus has increased my left hand precision and fluency by an incredible amount. The act of focusing your attention to go after perfection simple makes you get that much closer to it.

Ok mibe i shouldnt have said that but then you shouldnt have made that joke at my expense, if it was just a joke it was really really unlucky timing because i had just had a litlle bllow out with Todk (i was angry he was angry and took it out on edgar, whatever, he then changed his words and edgar seemed to accept it, so that was that) and to me it looked like you joke was a replie to that, i mean i remember u were moderator at his last forum. u never ever talk to me , ignore all my posts, all my audios, so all the sudden to make a joke at my expense at that time didnt seem like a joke to me, it seemed like one of those jokes that came with 2 meanings. I can honestly say i have never been an ashole to anyone that wasent one to me first or someone else. I have no problem with anyone and i am really really ezy going but i can be the biggest ashole in the world too if someone insults me , i dont care who he is or how good he plays or how many people worship him. I dont like beeing a **** but i dislike been put down even more.

I don't know Florian, I remember that you and I've been on this thing together from the very start, for over 3 years, so I kind of just assumed we were friends Miguel, i want nothing more than to be friends with you and everysingle person here, if that was just a joke it was the most unfortunate timing. Man u know i am the first person in the world to lough at myself, i love a good joke, we just hadent joked with eachother in a long time or adressed eachother and i missunderstood it, so i apologise for that, we can start fresh and clean right now if u like. ..About Todk, most of the time i find myself agreeing with him but sometimes i dont see eye to eye with him and desagree but I still respect him and expecially how he went back and changed his words to protect edgar, if i ever had an argument with Todk if i was wrong I would sooner or later see it and apologise, if he was wrong he would sooner or later see it and apologise , I dont think Todk is a bad guy at all, we both just as inmature or mature as eachother either way I am pretty sure wed always make up in the end, just like with Ron. sorry for the late replie, i was away
