Need help with song ID

Hi i'm new and just joined here :)

For those who know alot about Flamenco artists...i was wondering if anyone knows what song this is, it sounds similar to someone like Gipsy Kings or Ottmar Liebert but i don't think it's by them though. Anyway i attached an mp3 clip of it, thanks if anyone can help!

Not even close to flamenco.

Never heard it before. Judging by the recording quality, and
the playing, its nobody worthy of note.

Why dont you try some real flamenco, since your hunting anyway.

Buy anything buy Paco De Lucia, Tomatito, Gerardo Nunez, or Vicente Amigo.

Hi, i tryed cause i enjoy ministry of sound, cafe del mar etc. i tought i might have an idea, but theres not enough of the track to recognise it.

I would say something, like cafe del mar, ministry of sound, flamenco chill, Guitarra Chillout,Flamenco Lounge it could be a million things.

even a R&B artists solo cd, todk is right absoluteley nothing to do with flamenco the only thing in common is that both use nylon strings.

if u want upload the hole track and il have another go, or email it to me at florianremus1@hotmail.com

Ah, if I had a dime for every one of these threads that got started by a newbie asking "who's this Spanish guitar song by?" and "what Nuevo Flamenco albums are good?", I'd surely be rich by now. still, I was like that once, and some of those newbies may even stick around to become proper aficionados.

I doubt that was Ottmar Liebert. he at least pretends to be a "Spanish style guitarist" and doesn't usually use heavy drum beats like that. florian might be right that its one of those Ministry or Chill Out compilations. But its not really Flamenco, and might not even really be "Nuevo" Flamenco, from the short clip I heard. Maybe just contemporary music which uses acoustic/classical guitars.

PS: Florian: My Pitingo CD arrived!!! First impressions are good! But I like it because I like cantaors that can sing aswell as shout, and pitingo is one of them. Some catchy choruses on there... like the first song. That sort of thing really reminds me of R&B singers, and I'm convinced that some this is "modern cante", except that in beteween the modern stuff is fairly traditional cante. So a mix of the two.
