Any comments on Estrella Morente's latest CD? Got it recently and after initially not liking it as much as the other two and really enjoying it. Karenanne
ps this sudden flood of posts (well, 3 so more like a shower) is because I have just managed to log on again after months of being shut out. (My fault I think - still can't do technology and haven't a clue how I got the log in I did!!!)

I've been asking everyone what they think of it and everyone has said that it does not live up to her first. It's also suprising how many people here have not even heard it. When the first album came out you could not go anywhere in Granada without hearing it, literally every bar was playing it. That has not happened this time.

Hi Kate, good to hear from you again. I can see why people might say that. Although there are some tracks that are very similar to her first CD there are some that really surprised me at first. Some of them remind me of Mayte Martin who I really like but I know she's not to everyone's taste either. My 5am in the morning in some bar in Madrid review was "Music to smoke to while wearing a beret on a cold English evening..!" And as I'll be doing a lot of that now I'm home ....
Hope all is well with you, Karenanne
