Like this rosette? - Anders blanca

Anders found the olive in his firewood last winter - figured olive is hard to find and it reminds me of where the guitar came from.

Figured Olive wood is nice. Difficult to find though and very hysterical to work. I falls apart when you cut it cross grain.

The idea of Simons rosette came from that to use this tendency to fall apart. It´s kind of arty farty to use a lot of time cutting something to fit very well and then break it up into small pieces.

Henriks rosette is with olivewood cut along the grain which makes it more stable. The reddish wood is Coral (Padauk) and this I use in order to make the rosette communicate with the very strong orange color of the soundboard.
