In the right lighting, the bright orange finish guitars look amazing and flashy, very flamenco. In other lighting, yeah they don't look like wood, more like plastic or something. My south american friend teases me "where is your carrot guitar ricardo?". Regardless, in my experience, all the orange flamenco guitars I have played sound freakin killer. I know it is just a coincidence, but I associate that visual asthetic to a kick ass flamenco tone. I also have some yellow guitars that sound good too. In the end it is what it sounds like and feels like that is important. Like the scale length issue, I put finish color and style, in the hands of the maker, what he prefers. Finish is a BIG part of the way the guitar will sound. (I know color is just stain, but...) I think this guy's guitar looks pretty sharp. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/RicardoM/DSC00929.jpg Honestly, I like that not every guitar looks the same, like violins and cellos for example. I just want to add, that the orange color that my french polisher uses is different than the factory colors you all know, like Condes and Sanchis etc. These guitars are all sprayed with Nitro or plastic lacquer. The fact that this is french polish, gives it a more natural look and much more depth. Looks much more elegant 5/5 it will be with me again.
