Kalo I recently bought the GPN kit from stewmac and it works great. I put the first one on my thumb. A week later put one on my ring finger. They should last for many weeks if you play an hour a day it seems. They look a little bizzare but make a huge difference with what my god given nails could do. I have never tried gel. I also added glue over the fake nail tips to prolong their life. Hi Dave, is the GPN kit the same as the link below...I have read a statement from Grisha that he would never go back to his original nails..From what I understand from the guy who owns the sight the nails are a learning curve to put on, but once you get the hang of it, it is awesome. They are so natural and look like your nails...I am seriously considering it. https://guitarplayernails.com/index?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6575BRCQARIsAMp-ksOL___q8noYCM_JIvZUsA0mvsZv4lpGYDtvcSD6JiYt3kEJmwlM7GIaAmdPEALw_wcB quote:
If you are right handed, always pick staples out of papers using the left hand thumb nail. Always pick anything up off the floor, or do anything potentiallyy damaging to your nails, with your left hand. I have very strong nails, and coat them with superglue. I have only broken one nail in about the last 20 years. I am very careful. Hi Mark, [ use a staple puller and there are tons of documents...Still my nails break because of force with the staple puller...I tried brush on nail glue, and it worked okay but still doesn't quite do the trick for me. quote:
UV Gel will definitely make your nails very strong. Stronger than glue. Wise choice going with dr. Rumbero’s GK Congrats I guess, i will either go with UV gel, or Guitar Players Nails. I have tried gel long time ago and found it hard to file when my nails grew out. But, maybe if i do them myself, I could put a thin coat. OMG, Ramzi's guitar plays so nice, and seriously, it sound nice. I will post vids soon...i hope I can do the guitar justice the way Ramzi did on the GK Thanks for all you replies!

Because I am pulling tons of legal documents with a stapler puller, still my nails make somewhat contact..It might be a better idea to put gel on top of my nail...I am not sure if it would make the thinner nail stronger and somewhat different shape... Of the three variables I mentioned (strength of natural nails, glue or other protective coating and avoiding damage to nails), I think the most important is to train yourself to use your other hand for any task that is potentially hazardous to nails. I am right handed, so to protect the nails on my right hand I have learned to do many things left handed!
