Damn...When I read that Guest's post about "too many notes...and egomania..etc", I did think it could be attack on Todd, since it was "In Reply to ToddK", and I was about to delete it... but I couldn't be sure if it was a genuine post saying that he thought that too many notes in ONE's playing was bad and sounded like "egomania"...
I wish I had now..

OK, two things..

Watch what you post on the Public Access Forum.

Post only things that you want to reach a wider audience.

Also in general, it's a bit confusing at times when someone is replying to a previous post, but clicks on ANY reply button...so that the post is "in reply to" someone else.
Especially when it's just a one-sentence quick reply.

eg

PosterA: My Mom just died...so I'm not in the mood for practicing just now.
PosterB: Hey I just got my new guitar...now I just gotta learn hown to play the thing!
PosterC: (accidentally "in reply to PosterA").. LOL! man that's funny!

A bit extreme, but you get the drift.

cheers

Ron

RE: Using Forums (in reply to Ron.M

I have always thought we should be membership-only.

You know, we probably should be more careful about forums. The thing is, a lot of the stuff on the internet may be here for our lifetimes. This ISN'T like a pub (my favorite analogy), unless there was a stenographer in the corner recording everything that happened in the pub. If I do a search for my name (and I use my stage name, not some throwaway handle, or my real name in forums), some of the stuff there may not be so savory. Maybe when I'm 10 or 20 or 30 years older, that stuff may come to bite me on the arsenal.

Imagine the esteemed body of work that someone like me or Todd or Ricardo has put together already :)
