Flamenco Festival at Lisner in Washi...

The past 12 or so years have seen the annual Flamenco Festival presented in February at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC. It will not be presented this year, as the schedule has been changed to put it on every other year. I contacted Lisner to get the details and was told that Lisner and the organization they work with had decided upon the new schedule. The person I spoke with had no information on why the schedule had gone from annually to every other year. In any case, I was assured it would be presented next year.

Is there a reasonable explanation other than inadequate ticket sales at past festivals?

None that I am aware of. I'm not even sure it was inadequate ticket sales. Most of the performances I attended over the years seemed to play to pretty much a full house.
