hi from Cornwall UK

Hello! I've been reading this great forum on and off for a little while and decided it was time that I really should take part! I've been retired from teaching for two years and in autumn 2011 took a guitar-building course in Totnes, Devon where I built my first instrument, a classical guitar (for myself). Loved the whole process and made one for my son. The next one I wanted to be a new challenge and decided to go for a flamenco - I love the music but don't really play any! Just finished it - cypress with Engelmann spruce top - I reckon it sounds the business. A local flamenco player has tried it - also loves the sound but wanted the action and string height above the top to be lower, so that's my next job. I'm sure I'll be tapping into advice from the forum to help with this!
I'm on facebook - martin douglas guitars - for more info on the instruments and some pics. Martin Douglas.

Welcom to the foroflamenco Martin.
There are great luthiers here who happily share their knowledge and experiences with others.

Upload a sound recording of your flamenco guitar if you can.

All the best.
A
