The whole concert is excellent, one of my favourite flamenco videos. I think Poveda and Duquende sound great together and Chicuelo is in awesome form.

I wish i could find more stuff like this i.e.

-modern
-cante plus guitar only (no flutes, piano, fretless bass...)
-no cheesy 'smooth' latin arrangements with radio friendly backing vocals

Easy to find single clips, but whole concerts or even CDs of contemporary singers/guitarists without the above are hard to find.

There are tons of that on youtube.
even if I don't know what you mean with "modern". Such an idiotic term

Well sorry to upset you I am not used to being in the company of such an intellectual giant. Ok, how about 'post late seventies', will that do?

It's a general term and most non-idiots here would understand exactly what I mean. There are many videos around of old school (is that OK?) flamenco with just cante and guitar but when we get to the modern era its usual to have a lot of other instrumentation as well, plus the other things I mentioned.

If there are 'tons' of videos like this on youtube please give a few examples (not stuff recorded on people's phones miles away from the stage with terrible sound, but actual professional videos).

Let's face it - if it ain't a Conde and it doesn't have Savarez Alliance strings, it just ain't floating your boat.

@Blondie

the el sol, la sal el son stuff is nice too
but you don't want them because there are palmeros?
would you consider jose merce as a modern cantaor?
or poveda? is morao modern or old-school?
Sorry I can't do anything with that.

Thanks, all that looks good! I have several Jose Merce albums, including one with Moraito.

Yes, I consider Moraito was a modern guitarist. When I say 'Modern', with respect to guitar, (I wasn't talking about cantaors) I really mean post PDL era - wider harmonic vocabulary and more syncopation in the rhythm etc

Palmeros are of course fine, cajon is OK too, its just big rhythm sections and smooth arrangements that don't do it for me.

The problem is that its what is selling. When you go to a small flamenco concert here in Andalucia, you mostly find older men singing cante jondo and not reaching the high notes or young musicians singing lelele por tangos with a lot of arrangements, breaks, maybe some strings with scores and zzzzzz.
At least that was my experience for a while and then i stopped going out to concerts.
