Barcelona museums

I'll be visiting Barcelona with friends next week, and was wondering wether it's worthwhile buying museum tickets online and reserving a time-slot or wether the waiting lines mightn't be so long in January.
We're planning to go to the Fundació Miró, Museu Picasso, Fundació Tàpies, and of course Sagrada Familia

Any savvy people aboard?

I'd say reserve a slot for the Sagrada Familia to avoid the ques. Don't think its necesary for the others.

You're welcome.

And thanks for the welcome, I'm from the UK but spend a lot of time in Barcelona (my girlfriends from there).

Been lurking for a few months and finally found a question I can answer :-)

Don´t forget the Hard Rock Café, and if you like seafood, Paco Meralgo.

If you have a ride or get the train, you could try a day out to the Dali museum in Figueres - about 90 mins drive. Fantastic place.

Thanks Morante, I always greatly appreciate your pointers.
Our friends wouldn't like the Hard Rock Café im afraid, but Paco Meralgo looks fantastic.

IF we had the time ...

But then, it probably won't be my last visit to Barcelona (that said, the last time was nearly 40 years ago ... temps fugit ... )

The play on word baffled the taxi driver the first time we went: we stopped in the square and spent 5 minutes looking for something which was right in front.

You should book: it opens 13.00 to 16.00 and 20.00 to 0.30 and is full 10 minutes later, so here are the details: Paco Meralgo, Muntaner, 171 (xamfra Corsega) 08036, Barcelona. Tel 93 430 90 27.

You don´t have to eat what they offer, they will cook anything the way you want: for example their vieras and zamburiñas are traditionally presented in the shell with onion, cheese etc., but I prefer them a la plancha, vuelta y vuelta, and they were happy to do it.

There are lots of other places and the good restaurants have a cheap menu at midday.
