Along the flamenco cities, at the mt...

Dear all,
I play for a couple of years flamenco guitar and like it very much! End of this year or beginning of next year I am in Andalucia for a workshop and I like to combine this with a short holiday. The plan is cycling along the "flamenco cities" (Jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla, Granada etc) and visiting the local pubs to acquire flamenco guitar inspiration. ;-). And maybe also play a bit guitar too during the travel. As I move and travel at the mountainbike (mtb) normally, I would like to take the mtb for travelling from city to city. I am wondering whether there are any sportive flamenco enthousiasts who like to join too. In that case let me know.

Ik speel een aantal jaren flamenco gitaar en vind het fantastisch om te doen! Nu ben ik eind van het jaar of begin volgend jaar in Andalucia voor een workshop en wil daar een korte vakantie aan vastplakken. Plan is dan de flamenco steden (Jerez de la Frontera, Sevilla, Granada etc) langs te fietsen om daar in de plaatselijke kroegjes flamenco gitaar inspiratie op te doen. ;-) En mss zelf tussendoor ook wat spelen. Normaal reis ik op mijn mtb. Zou dus graag op de mtb langs deze steden trekken. Twee passies in één keer. Ik vroeg me af, zijn er mss sportieve flamenco liefhebbers die ook aan willen sluiten? Laat het in dat geval weten!

I like your idea alot! Are you going to sleep in a tent and travel with your guitar or just cycle from hotel to hotel? How many days is your journey?

Because of work obligations it will be just 1.5 à 2 weeks... I prefer going by tent. My tent is easy to carry by bici. However it also depends from the weather. ;-)

In granada it will be pretty cold and somewhat raining occasionally. You would be much more comfortable renting a warm apartment but then you can travel only in the nearby area by bus. Research well the climate and routes before leaving so you know more or less what to expect. In andalucia it can be very windy and somewhat rainy in the winter so be prepared if you go by bike. good luck!
