I need a good thumb stretch.

Hey everyone, i recently went into the studio to record my original stuff and kept stuffing up one section which is all thumb (constant triplets) and i finally had to stop because i had sore arms. So i need a stretch to help the pain.

I don't know how to stretch the thumb but I think you may want to put your hands in hot water(for 10 minutes) before and after you play guitar, I have tendinitis and this helps me a lot when I play for long periods of time and of course it will help you to prevent any sore and tendinitis too.

i have this question .When I play picado for a long period of time, because I play it without resting my elbow I have this little pain in my right shoulder.I used to play picado and rest my elbow on the corner of the guitar , and then I didnt had that problem. On the other hand i've seen nunez doing picado without resting the elbow? I hope i'll get used to it ...but my question is this can this pain turn into a more serious problem?

I wouldnt want to modify my picado again cause it seems better now ...except for
that little pain that I get when I do picado for a long time .

Any pain can be bad in the longer term depending. Shoulder pain is especially bad IMO. Just because your elbow does not touch, does not mean the ARM is not touching the corner of the body. If you could see some video from the side you could see that the elbow touches when playing the trebles, but as you move to the basses, the forearm and even wrist still makes contact with the body of the guitar (depending how big you are). Also, you can give support with your thumb on the sound board or string depending. Both of these contact points should be enough to release the stress in your shoulder. I used to push too hard with my forearm on the corner of the guitar. Don't push hard, just lightly support and relax your shoulder.
