solea, siguiriya, tientos, farruca: yes alegria, solea por buleria, buleria, tangos, fandangos de Huelva, sevillanas etc etc: no Having said that, a lot depends on context - with a dancer the compas will be more set. Also it's still beneficial to practice for instance siguiriya and solea with a compas backing even if you don't plan to play as metronomically in the end.
