Rodrigo & Remedios Flores

Has anyone heard the cd Flamenco Caravan from Rodrigo and Remedios Flores? My aunt made a copy for me in the 90's when she found out I was getting into flamenco. It was the first aggressive sounding flamenco I had heard up to that point after the Gypsy Kings phase in the 80s!

The record is still very strange to me because the guitarist has a very unusual style and his guitar sounds like an oud on speed.

Here is the first number on the CD. Again though they do Bulerias, Alegrias, Soleares and Tangos on the cd, the approach is different than any flamenco I have heard. This sounds like a rumba to me.

They actually have the record for sale on Amazon. It is worth a listen because like I said it is pretty unique in its way. Before the internet allowed me to do some research this was the only flamenco record I had.
