Just trying to teach myself some Flamenco, Encountered some very help full and enlightening discussions here, OLE!

Welcome, Sixto. I was assigned to the American Embassy in Manila for two years, 1976-1978. I loved it. The big entertainers in the Philippines in those days were Rico Puno and Pilita Corrales. They both had long, fruitful careers in singing and on television.

Awesome Bill. Rico and Pilita are still kicking, though one story about Pilita, as she was giving a concert at the Shangrila hotel she kept on welcoming people to the Penininsula, so they were not too happy about that! haha, but she still has that golden voice! I still see Rico around town. his voice gas gotten a little raspier but still the performer. What we don't we have around these parts is someone to do Cante. I long to accompany! but for now i follow on the cd's.
