A short question on Oscar Herrero

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to find out if anyone has had the opportunity of taking a lesson with Oscar Herrero. Any comments on him would be appreciated. And more importantly, does he speak comprehendable English too?

Thanks,
Cheston

Hi Steven,

No I didn't take lessons as he could understand me at all! In fact, he gave me a stunned look when I thanked him for his autograph.

I was intending to write a review of it but I felt it might offend some people and it would be a waste of time. Frankly speaking, I was half asleep until his encore bulerias which was near to being good.

As for making a guitar, it seems rather hard to do it without guidance at all. If the outer portions are hard to craft, then what about the insides like the bracing? You'll have to consider tiny details like action, intonation etc. But it'll be an interesting project to try make one and for all you know, you have a natural talent in it! Start with cheap plywood and see if it works out.

Cheers,
Cheston
