Just a simple question about SolxBul...

Where are the strong accented beats by solxbul? like the third beat is the strongest accented beat in bulerías, what about solxbul?
the same?

yeah sure. its more a question about solea por buleria soniquete.
i mean, when you play bulerías you put a stronger accent on the 3 than on the 6 or 8, arent you? i do it that way and i think thats very common . how does it work in solxbul? it would be very boring if every accents have the same accentuation ;) know what i mean?
sorry for my bad english.

jof,

Like everything in Flamenco, you don't just accent the beats ( like 3, 6 8, 10, 12 etc) religiously....

That's just a teaching method and indeed would be boring to hear.

You can do anything you want so long as it is en compás and sounds good Flamenco-wise.

cheers,

Ron

The most importants are 3 and 10.

For me golpe on the 6 (without chord) is a good way to not get lost. Eventually also a golpe on 12 (or a strumming. Depend).

jof, go over to Flamenco-teacher.com and purchase the Solxbul lesson that Ricardo has on that site. I did and it really helped me understand the compas of this palo. It's a great lesson with a video both slow and performance tempo plus the TABS. It shows the accents and the general "feel" or aire of the piece...
