It's Flamenco, NOT 'flamingo'!

I just wonder how many other have this same frustration with the general populace confusing the word 'flamenco' with the word 'flamingo'??? I run into this fairly often, and am usually eager to explain the differences. The most recent one happened just the other day, when a quite voluptuos young Italian lady was cutting my hair and commented on my right hand nails being much longer than my left. After explaining that I played 'flamenco' guitar, her immediate response was: "Oh, I just LOVE that 'flamingo' music, its so exciting. I really like those Gypsy Kings, and the way they play it. . ." ( + more slushy ramblings. . .) This time I didn't bother to explain. But, I gave her a tip anyway. . .
