metronomes

I'm looking for a metronome as a step up from my basic electronic machine. Any reccomendations?

CAn you still get the Mundobeat that used to be available a couple of years ago?

Hi Martin,
I think I saw a similar kind of post on another Forum.
As a hardware Engineer, I could design and build such a metronome, (I already have), but the way I see it is this...

To spend about $25 on components $10 on a printed circuit board and a further $15 say on a suitable housing, plus say about 1.5 hours assembly time each one, with hand soldering, drilling and fitting, and then sell it for $100, to maybe a worldwide customer base of 100 very picky customers who will plague you about how can I get it to do this and how can I get it to do that etc and can you supply examples with tabs and mp3's to illustrate what you mean....and why is it so expensive for a cheap little gizmo like that??

Would you buy shares in that business?

I rest my case...

cheers

Ron

Martin,
I bought the Mundobeat a year ago from Flamenco Connection in USA (I'm in UK) and it's certainly as good as it sounds at http://www.ugcarray.com/vko/. I'd heard mixed reviews but am very impressed with its robustness and ergonomics. Really easy to use in all modes. You MUST heed the warnings about battery consumption though; an AC adapter is not just an option! Luckily these are very cheap at your local hardware store. Yes it's expensive but, as Ron says, it is hardly catering for a mass market. Get one while you still can.

Henrik,

My guitars are so cheap, that it's almost like giving them away.

The buttons, you have to ask your social service center. Maybe they will allow you to have some installed by the local Doctor.
