Der Jung Machine Heads

Found a few posts touching on these tuners, but looking for something more definitive.

Anyone have experience with the DJ101S tuners? Specifically, I'm interested in the silver finish with silver rollers.

thanks

I haven't tried those. The dragon and phoenix seem a bit too non-traditional on classical and flamenco guitars.

The DJ405 series has been the most trouble-free for me. Not as precise as Gotohs and there can be a little play; but that puts them on par with good nickel tuning machines and they look better too. For $18 shipped, these are not a bad deal. I usually will have the seller substitute rectangular ebony buttons instead of the typical kidney-bean buttons.

i have the antique brass/black button tuners on an orozco flamenco. they work very well and for only $30 (e-bay price) they are truly a tuner that works as well as tuners costing twice as much. the color is nice is well. i am very impressed with them.

Thanks for the replies.

I ordered the antique brass DJ200. I'll let you know how they look.

I received the DJ101, the rooster, by mistake. Must say - I'm pretty impressed with the quality. Seems like a very good buy.
