Guitar amp tone settingS

Hey guys.. Just wondering what your usual guitar amp setting would be?
I just about an amp markacoustic ac 601, and with everything on the same setting it's bass heavy..
Mine is about bass on 1/4 of full, mid is a little less than the bass and the treble is about 1/2 of full.. So u guys scoop out more of the mids?

Cheers

I start with everything flat. Depending on the guitar i am playing i then make adjustments.

My maldonado is strong in the low frequencies so i usually add a little to the mids and highs. My conde is super strong in the mids but well balanced so it usually works well with everything flat.

The placement of the speaker in relation to where you are is most important. Of coarse this varies from venue to venue and I often find myself having to just put up with the less than desirable sound and conditions.

We had a regular gig in the same place for years. Each time we set up the sound changed even though we were in the same spot. The same settings would sound awesome one night then start feeding back the next. Depending on the number of people in the restaurant, ambient noise etc..

i had to look up the sound board pick up. that looks cool. how does it sound?

in general, i like to cut things out rather than boost. usually, i have the bass turned almost all the way down and everything else flat.

kris gave some very good advice.

Yeah on the amp's manual.. It's written 1/2 of full is actually the basic settig..

I'll check out cutting down a little more..

Cheers!

it can be selected for 100% ust or with ast selected it's about 50% ast blended into whole sound..
with more ast.. there's more bassiness included.. so i try to be about halfway or just slight more toward the ust end of the spectrum..

and it sounds pretty damn good i have to say..

=)
