La Bella b-string intonation problems

Hi everybody. I've been lurking for a while here and love the info I've been getting. Now I got an issue to ask about. Recently I put new strings on a couple of guitars. La Bella 900 Golden Superior trebles on one and La Bella 820 trebles on the other. Both of the b strings are about 20 cents flat at the 12th fret when in tune open. Has anybody else had this problem. I've tried numerous strings of all kinds of brands and never had this problem before. Do they just need to settle in? All the other strings were pretty much dead on as far as intonation. Kinda seems coincidental to me that only the b strings were way off. Any thoughts? Thanks!

RE: La Bella b-string intonation pro... (in reply to Bman

Hello,

hmmm there are many possibilities here I think. First of all, it is possible it is a bad batch of bs?

Secondly, there may be something about the La Bella bs that accentuate a slight intonation issue. If this is only happening with La Bella bs though it is at least clear what you need to do! Avoid using them.
