for friends of Jingle

We were over at our place near Almeria and drove along the coast to visit Jingle in Nerja. Had a great afternoon playing rumba etc. He decided our photo should include his collection of stuffed animals and a mini pink guitar. This was crazy enough but when he started to play Leaning on a Lamppost I completely cracked up as you can see. Mind you, he has excellent compas even when playing that daft song.

Look at the wall of his flat behind us - wild huh?!!

Je je je je great photo Ailsa.

Harold and I went to the coast last week and instead of turning right at Motril we headed along towards Almería and stopped at a beach called Rojiana. Its a wonderful sheltered bay and what made it more special is that we saw a family group of Ibex, 3 young ones and two elders. Seeing as there are only 50,000 left in Spain thought we were pretty lucky to see 5 all at once. My first sighting after living here for 12 years !

Has Jingle got a stuffed Ibex toy I wonder in his collection ?

If anyone has ever met Jingle they would know that his enthusiasm for flamenco and the guitar is infectious and his stories are hilarious. As long as I've known him in Spain I've only ever seen him to wear a pair of beach shorts 90 per cent of the time. I took this photo last year that I think catches him perfectly

I met up with Jingle last week.
He's in Nerja these days in an apartment close to the beach, He's been ill recently, but he's making a good recovery and was full of fun and amazing stories, all of which are true I think. He's a great player and a great teacher but be warned, he TALKS a LOT, and a 1 hour lesson with him could take all day.
He's an lovely guy and well worth seeking him out if you're in or near Nerja.
His phone numbers are
0034 952 522 534 landline
