Call me a cynic but haven't those signatures been digitially copied, printed on paper, cut out and stuck on? Maybe that guitar hasn't actually been signed by anyone?

I'm must thank you Arash for your hunt for youtube flamenco videos and then sharing them on the foro, I really appreciate it.

I dont think that these are printed. I mean that would make him the biggest loser on earth, no? lol

Did you noticed Manolo Francos sig on the back?? Those extra circles around the name... somehow strange.

RE: Most "famous" Flamenco... (in reply to Arash

this is the description of the video:

quote:

This guitar was toughed by the hands of many legendary flamenco guitar players alive: Paco de Lucia, Vicente amigo, Tomatito, Canizares, Manolo Sanlucar, Gerardo Nunez, Jose Antonio Rodriguez, Paco Serrano, Moraito, Alfredo Lagos, Erkan Our, Nino Josele, Pepe Romero, Steve Vai, Manolo Franco, Paco Pena, Chicuelo, Jeronimo Maya and Miguel Angel Cortes, Javier Conde. After the guitar was signed I custom cut a peace of tapping plate in de signature's shape in order to preserve the signatures for many generations to come. On the headstock you can see a jade buddha which I brought from Indonesia. The guitar has black rollers (Rubner) and cypres back and sides. The luthier is Vicente Sanchis from Valencia. I took ten years to collect all these signatures and many hours to custum cut the tapping plates for the signatures. I am very proud of the result. This guitar is not for sale, but I'll trade it for a Manuel Reyes or Arcangel.

These are all stickers.

But anyway,... I would not like to play a guitar where some people smeared their tag on. It looks like shiat.

John Martyn (the Folk/Blues singer) once told me that backstage after a concert a girl dropped her jeans and knickers and asked him to sign her bum!

(I hope she didn't collect them...I mean that would maybe be a bit of a turn off for some guys if her bum were signed with famous people like that guitar... )

cheers,

Ron

lol Doit, no, these are not stickers, read.

but anyway, if i would have a Reyes, i would not exchange it with this Vicente Sanchis guitar, just because of the Signatures.

That puts me in mind of that joke where the Scotsman visits a prostitute.

When they are on the bed she says to him..

"Hey that's really cute....Your d*ck is tattooed with "Amy"....

Was that your first girlfriend?"

"Amy?" says the Scotsman....."Naw....it's the town I was born in...

...Auchtermuchty"

cheers,

Ron

Funny, I heard a Peruvian version of that - the, ahem, short form said "Renople" which was found puzzling, but of course the full text read "Recuerdo de un gran amor en Constantinople".

It doesnt matter what he writes. You can clearly see the stickers...... ´looks like a fake. This funny guy.

If hes totally dumb, he glued clear plastic over the "real" signatures to protect them. An intelligent guy would get it finished with finish...and a girl would get the signatures on hers butt and breasts.

Nah Doit, i think this guy really did all that with the tap plate.
and if someone would want to buy the guitar, he would see if those are stickers or not.

That guy is in for a sad shock when he finds out the same solvent for tap plate material is the same as the solvent for Sharpie magic marker. Removing the tap plate will remove the signature too and eventually the tap plate material will degrade and turn yellow.

hero worship like that is kinda lame, .........oh course I would not mind having a Willie Mays signature baseball, Say hey Paco!

Coincidentally there was this video about a guitar with many more signatures yesterday. He didn't get it signed by "legendary flamenco guitar player" Steve Vai, but a lot of jazz and blues guys. In general I don't get this thing about signatures on guitars, but in this case I like Derek's easy come, easy go attitude, he doesn't care if they rub off.

Guitar part starts at 2:58
Derek Trucks' guitar
