Daniel Manzanas

From France, I saw him accompanying a show with Christo and Jose Cortes singing, blew me away.

Why isn't there more info to be found on this guy? He's great!

Yeah he's got a nice crisp sound. I've hadn't heard of him before.

I really like the singer too, doesn't say who it is though. Some good flamenco in France.

Here are Cristo and José Cortés, the singers I saw:

Yeah Jonh, Daniel Manzanas is a great tocaor and Cristo Cortes a great cantaor. I like them...and many others, from south of France. Area from Marseille and Nimes are very rich in terms of Arte Flamenco.
I read somewhere that this 2 city are the only comarcas flamenca outside of Spain. That's mean they are few flamenco family (gypsy) who are perpetuate the flamenco like in Andalucia...Padre to hijos or uncle to nephew.

The Cortes family is one of them...a great one.

Lately I've noticed how rarely I see "traditional" flamenco nowadays, whether it's in Spain, these guys in Frankfurt, local groups. It's really becoming the norm.

Thanks for those clips!

From that "area" too.
Another good tocaor : Frasco Santiago. Here with Juan de la Alpujarra from Marseille
