new product vid formats 

hiya folks ,
invested a bit of cash in a DVD series.
by mehdi mohagheghi in NTSC for man , another DVD in PAL format.

thing is they don't work well nearly.

they boot up the mentu and i get the imagine then i wan t to select a track to practice NADA (fits of depression!) downloaded VLC player, whole load of others but nothing

what could be happening ?

also has anyone got any success at unsing like a free program to transcfer the DVDs into just pc format , id like to back em up, already scratches on them.

hope they can work the methods look good

Hee MD,
I've got sometimes also the same problems.
I can't play the DVD on my desktop pc, but I can play it on the PS2 and on my labtop.

Perhaps a new DVD player, they are very cheap can solve the problem.

it could be because of some "country code" issue.
i have heard that some DVD players need to be made "code free" and unlocked to be able to play all DVDs from different countries.

thanks arash , i was thinking that too, yet im playing it on my PC
prettty sure it doesnt need a code for that, flippin annoying ,nearly as much as the deleted thread pretty colourful

I wonder if you could use a program like DVD decrypt(free) and burn to your HD while removing region info then burn it to a new DVD and play it in your old player?
