Appears to have been a good show, albeit the Times reviewer makes it clear he knows nothing about either Arab maqam or Flamenco, and can't be bothered to learn a little. Why do they hire ingorami like this?

I love Marina's voice. Incredibly high register.

Yes Marina has a wonderful voice. I would love to have seen this show. Hopefully they will perform this back home as well. Granada should do more for her native artists !Emilio Maya and Maya the violinist have been working with Chekara recently in Morocco, but I didnt go with them. Should have done really

I know what you mean about ignorant critics, I'll never forget reading the Guardian review of Carlos Saura's flamenco. The critic complained there was no plot, and it was just a load of toothless men singing about oranges !!!
