Strings part II

On my "strings and your guitar" thread.. some people replies with
brand X on bass and brand Y on trebles.

what do you do with extra bass/treble strings? throw it away? won't it be pretty wasteful?

No. Folks buy Treble only and Bass only sets from online sellers such as Strings by Mail in the U.S. I think there is similar places in Europe as well. Some music stores also sell single strings or half-sets too. Makes it really easy to mix and match sets.

Donating them to dancers. They like to fix their abanicos with treble strings.

I always have some leftover "emergency strings" in my guitar box.

I throw the rest away. But because I use cheap strings... it doesnt matter.
