Semana Santa in Sevilla

For many years I have wanted to be in Sevilla for Semana Santa. I'm looking at the possibility of next year, though I know it may be a bit late to get started making arrangements.

The older I get, the less I like being stuck in massive crowds--and I've gotten to be surprisingly old!

Does anyone know how to obtain reserved seats on the carrera ofiecial, or a place at a window or on a balcony along this part of the processions?

I know that reserved seats are under the control of the organization of the cofradias, and that palcos [boxes] can stay reserved from year to year by the same person, even inherited, or even be contested in divorce settlements!

But does anyone know how to obtain seats or a box on the carrera oficial?

Thanks for any help--

Take a look here!! Can be pretty expensive though. I´ll also ask a friend of mine who always goes to Sevilla for semana santa.

Thanks, koenie17. These look like they are all for 2012, posted a month or six weeks before Easter by individuals.

The Consejo de Cofradias, on their web page, say they allocate seats and boxes around the first of the year. First choice goes to people who had them the year before. The ones left over are then for sale by the Consejo. Selling them by individuals is strictly prohibited by the regulations of the Consejo.

Of course....

Any more info anyone?

Thanks for any help,
