Just back from the 2nd of his gigs in Dublin. Slightly different set than last night but again it was de putisima madre.
Got to take take private classes with him today and yesterday. It was great. I was surprised when he told me that he takes great influence from Baroque music and Impressionist music such as Ravel.
Great technique and composition and some lovely ideas in altered tunings. Some of the best uses of dynamics i have heard in a flamenco gig. Fantastic to have him in Dublin for the week.
Got to accompany his father Damaso por Malaguenas & Solea in the class today which was great fun. Both lovely guys.
The Fandangos tonight was just superb.
Quite a pleasant surprise for the month of october.
